A curated look at the hot spots That Lit up the calendar this past month.

November is extra sacred around here— my son and I were born on the exact same day November 25th! For years, my entire focus was solely on celebrating him, but as he’s grown older, this year marked a shift. It was finally time to celebrate us.

We kicked off the month at the Red Wings vs Vegas Golden Knights game, with exclusive views from the 4th row! Sitting that close set us right in the heart of the action and set the tone for an unforgettable month.

The celebration kept rolling into week 2 under the big lights at the Ringling Bros. Circus—an event picked purely for my son’s wonder. Watching his eyes light up from 7 rows back was the best part of the show!

Week 3 was all about tradition! We enjoyed an evening dinner at my son’s favorite spot alongside some of his favorite people. “Kyoto” in Royal Oak! Ky’s been obsessed with the hibachi here since his very first experience, back when he was only 3 years old. Over the years, it just became our ultimate family staple. A birthday wouldn’t truly be a celebration without Ky’s #1 restuarant pick.

Then came the main event: BIRTHDAY WEEK! Before kicking off our special day, I started the celebration the night before with a night to myself.

I stayed overnight at Motor City Casino/Hotel to ring in 29. Booked a shoot with my personal photographer, had some champagne, great eats, and just had a good ole grown time!

Next day was show time!— OUR BIG DAY. We started our birthday off in the clouds—another one of Ky’s choices. The only thing was, it was a COMPLETE surprise he knew nothing about! He had asked me a few times about riding in a helicopter, so i figured the “My flight tour” in Detroit would be absolutely perfect for us.

Later that evening, we wrapped up our birthday with an incredible dinner at Big Rock Italian Chophouse— Mom’s choice! (Hey, after flying him through the clouds, I earned my prime steak & pasta, lol)

Looking back, this entire month was filled with non-stop fun, laughter, and core memories made together. I am beyond thankful to have celebrated another year alongside my baby. There’s no better gift in life, and no bigger blessing than sharing the very day with my child.
